Dr. Alicia J.S. McNish is a licensed Specialist Dermatologist, currently working at the University Hospital of the West Indies. She holds a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree, as well as a Post Graduate degree (DM Dermatology) in Dermatology, both obtained from the University of the West Indies.

Dr. McNish has been working in the field of Dermatology since 2016 when she started as a Medical Officer. She completed her specialty training in Dermatology in 2023, and her outstanding leadership in the program earned her the Najeeb Haddad-Lois La Grenade Dermatology Prize for Overall Excellence in Dermatology the same year.

​

In addition to her clinical work, Dr. McNish is also an active member of several medical organizations, including the Dermatology Association of Jamaica, the American College of Physicians, the Jamaica Medical Doctors' Association, and the Medical Association of Jamaica.

Dr. McNish has a passion for educating the general public on health awareness and finding affordable solutions to significant health challenges, and her special interests include eczema, improving the quality of life for both children and adults, and developing screening protocols for skin cancer.

 

Dr. McNish offers an extensive range of services, treating skin allergies, drug allergies, eczema, acne, rosacea, nail disorders, skin cancer screening and treatment, and many other conditions. She places a high value on individualized skin advice and care to help her patients improve their quality of life.

She has received several awards in recognition of her exceptional medical knowledge and dedication to her patients, including the Faculty of Medical Sciences Dean’s List Award, and the Certificate of Appreciation for contribution to the Kiwanis Club of West St. Andrew Jamaica.
